3-Card Reading for P.H.

P.H. has requested an interpretation of the above cards that were drawn according to the protocol of silently completing the sentence, “Please give me some insight into __________.”P.H. has not told me what (s)he has put into the blank space. The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit. Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or clarifier. If we include the summary card, there are two swords in this mini-reading, so we know that this request for insight focuses on P.H.’s resolving conflict. Because there is just one member of the Major Arcana, the context for these insights is primarily P.H.’s everyday life rather than her/his soul’s agenda for this lifetime. There are no other two-of-a-kind or more in suits or numbers.

The spotlight has been on the Knight of Swords, who has been told there is a dragon outside the castle. He (meaning you) grabs his sword, throws on his armor, jumps on his horse, and rides off in seventeen different directions at the same time. This scattering of your energies does not serve anyone well. Is there really a dragon? If so, is it your responsibility alone to slay it? Wouldn’t it make sense to plan some strategy before you expend all your energy, leaving yourself exhausted and vulnerable? You need to focus; think and plan before you act.

The spotlight is now on the Five of swords, the freedom to make choices when faced with conflict. The lesson here is “The way to win, is not to play.” Do not give your power away by letting anyone else tempt you into joining the fight. Raise your vibration by engaging your discernment and energizing your gratitude that you always have choices. A good quesstion to ask is, “How can I change the way I am looking at this right now to feel better, to enjoy it more?”

The spotlight is moving toward the Fool, who bears the numeral O, a symbol of the Void, the repository from which all manifestation arises. The Universe has assembled all the cooperative components of your dream, and all you have to do is step off the cliff and commit to owning that dream for the sleeves of your garment to turn into wings so that you can fly. This card carries the message, “Follow your dream; you will be sustained.”

The summary card is the eight of cups, being dissatisfied with the feelings, emotions, relationships, and psychic abilities you have accumulated, turning your back on it/them, and going off to find more. If you are in a mindset of lack, you cannot manifest anything but more lack. It’s time to turn around and truly appreciate what you have in place, which allows you to manifest from a state of abundance and attract more. Look how far you’ve come!  Thisis the time of year to focus (Card 1), not be distraced (Card 2), and commit yourself  to taking the next step toward following your dream (Card 3).  Good luck, P.H.

Does this make sense? I hope it was helpful.
