3-Card Reading for S.S.

S.S. has requested an interpretation of the above cards that were drawn according to the protocol of silently completing the sentence, “Please give me some insight into __________.” S.S. has not told me what (s)he has put into the blank space. The first three cards are the “heart” of the reading and are read as a unit. Then, the fourth card is drawn and read as a summary or clarifier. If we include the summary card, there are two wands in this mini-reading, so we know that this request for insight focuses on B.F.’s skills and talents. There is one member of the Major Arcana, so there is some connection to S.S.’s soul’s agenda for this lifetime. There are no other two-of-a-kind or more in suits or numbers.
The spotlight has been on the six of swords, trying to be of service and healing in a conflict situation. You, S.S., are the one moving the boat from the rough water to the smooth. You do this by keeping things light, slow, and steady. You do not bear down on the points of conflict, for that would sink the boat. You do not speak of the “problem,” but focus only on moving the boat. As the saying goes, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
The spotlight is now on Death, allowing the old form, the old way to die because it has outlived its usefulness. This is not a card of physical death; the new day and the new way are rising with the sun. It is time to let go. Please understand that letting go will leave a space; be sure to fill it with the hope, expectation, and enthusiasm for the new foundation, the new jumping-off point.
The spotlight is moving toward the eight of wands, one of the timing cards in the tarot deck. The effort that you launched a while ago to reach the next higher step is getting ready to land, so be prepared to “hit the ground running.”
The summary card is the nine of wands, putting all your eggs in one basket. You are being warned about ignoring your other skills and talents and leaning heavily on the one you’re used to. This has already taken a toll on your well-being. By turning your back on your other skills and talents, you have placed yourself in a defensive position, which ironically invites attack. Don’t give up on what works for you, but augment those efforts with one of your other skills and talents as well. This will allow you to operate more peacefully and successfully.
Does this make sense? I hope it was helpful.
